Facebook Prineville datacentre case study
Facebook’s Prineville datacentre in Oregon is the pioneering DC to have first showcased just how efficient OCP hardware can be. It is now one of the most energy efficient in the world. It has a power usage effectiveness (PUE) ratio of 1.09. This is in a world where the average datacentre comes in around 1.7, as measured by the Uptime Institute. This average has been fairly static for a number of years.
